Community Initiatives
Open Source is already at work in our community, with lots of activity going on to arrange meetups, post blogs and more

It's fantastic and very exciting to see the support and enthusiasm for Next Generation LiveCode in our user community.We asked you to tell everyone... and you have really taken up the challenge!

Already we are seeing cooperative initiatives being set up to support OSS, with everything from brand new meetups, fresh blogs, tweets and posts, to users starting to organise feature lists and discuss who might want to tackle what area of engine additions. In this article I'm listing meetups I know of - get involved and if there isn't one in your area what about setting one up? I'd also like to highlight Peter Wood's new blog, 1001 things to do with LiveCode. There is so much to cover, I'm really struggling to get it all into this weeks newsletter!

LiveCode Next Generation has created quite a stir in the press. We've tried to collect together just some of the comment and coverage we've had, from publications ranging from Computer Weekly to the German publication Heise.

We released LiveCode 5.5.4 this week, bringing support for iOS 6.1. Steven Whyte has had a substantial article accepted in an ISTE publication.
