Article 3: News Roundup

Lots has been happening in the LiveCode world lately. New websites, usergroups and shows are springing up everywhere! If you have set up a new usergroup or would like to, don't forget to drop us a line.

New Website
I recently came across this LiveCode Game website. Looks like a really cool place to share enthusiasm about creating games in LiveCode! I see several people already participating, so if you'd like to join in and show off the games you are building head on over and register.

User Groups
There is a new Spanish language user group, run by Luis Astorquiza. Based in Latin America, this group has members in Spain, Mexico, South America and the US, among other countries. If you use LiveCode and speak Spanish, this is a the group for you! The website is jampacked with tutorials and helpful information, as well as being very friendly and welcoming.

Colorado has a brand new meetup group too, on the 4th Thursday of every month. If you are anywhere in the area join in and help get this group off the ground!

Presentations and events
Tod Fabacher is working on setting up an Armenian LiveCode Center and he tells me he will be making a presentation on 26th February at the UN about Women and the IT Industry. http://www.impactleadership21.com

"I have selected to talk about using LiveCode as a tool of Economic development in developing countries, especially ones looking to empower women."

Good to hear! We'll look forward to hearing how it goes.

In Argentina we have a new reseller, Arduino Software, who are very excited about promoting LiveCode locally.

Here at RunRev we are in the process of setting up some live training day events, initially these will be offered in London and Los Angeles. The London training days will be in mid April, and Los Angeles in May. These will be two full days of hands on training with our tutors, learning the basics of LiveCode and creating a business centered app. If you may be interested in signing up for these live events, please contact us and we'll send you details as soon as these are confirmed.
